Incendiary: Cost of Living - 2014 Closed Casket Activities "This is Hardcore" Camouflage Pressing of 110 w Alt Cover

Most definitely one of my favorite releases from the last couple of years; Cost of Living has spent a lot of time on my turntable. I have had a copy of this on red for quite a while, but needed to pick this up when I saw it was released.

From the "This is Hardcore" fest, a limited run of 110 copies on camouflage colored vinyl and with an alternative cover.  The cover is actually a sleeve that slides over the regular cover, but still ties in with the theme of the original artwork.

Xibalba/Suburban Scum: Split 12" - 2014 Closed Casket Activities on Transparent Blue Vinyl

A great combination of bands for this split. a couple of awesome tracks from these guys, as a teaser for their new release in 2015.  Death Threat is a skull crushing track which makes me salivate for their new record!

None heavier than Xibabla on one side and then thrash hardcore from Suburban Scum on the other.

Incendiary/Suburban Scum: Split 7" - 2010 Mayfly Records on Opaque Gold Vinyl

A couple of great tracks from both of these bands. Incendiary is, no doubt my favorite new school NYHC band.  These tracks are from 2010 and the production is pretty rough, but the core of their songwriting and execution is unmistakable.

Printed on really cool gold vinyl which looks like it is imperfect and bubbled, but it is totally smooth..very interesting looking color.

Twitching Tongues: In Love There Is No Law - Closed Casket Activities on Black Vinyl

Twitching Tongues are always cross referenced with a couple of my favorite bands; Xibalba and Incendiary.  I had heard this album in passing a couple of times, but it took a while to grow on me.  Once it took, I could not stop listening to it.  It has a real old school 90s, Type-O feel, along with some thrash elements and straight hardcore.  I am a big fan of this record and am glad to have a copy of it on vinyl.

Standard black vinyl in a nice gatefold cover from CCA.

Dread Zeppelin: Hey Hey What Can I Do?/Immigrant Song on Birdcage Records - Transparent Green Vinyl

Wikipedia sums them up perfectly!   Dread Zeppelin is an American band best known for performing the songs of Led Zeppelin in a reggae style as sung by a 300 pound Las Vegas Elvis impersonator.

Terribly awesome.....

Scream: Fumble on Dischord Records 1993 - Pre-Nirvana Dave Grohl

This is the final record from the band Scream and was released a couple of years after they split up.  It is an interesting combination of influences which leans towards post-hardcore.  This is considered to be Grohl's first "real band" after high school and right before Nirvana.  In fact, he recorded this album over a year before Nirvana's Nevermind,  but it was not released until a good year after Nirvana had become so successful.

Quicksand: Dine Alone/Can Opener 7" on Polydor Records Promotional Copy 1992

1992 Quicksand single to promote their debut full length; Slip on Polydor.
